Yes it can but the probability is 0.00000000001%
PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m
Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
So, what do you think? | |||

There are things that are impossible. For example VGC threads without grammars error.

1: Which goes back to what im saying, Both systems have the same type of games, some are better then others on different systems but it doesnt mean one console is selling better then the other based off quality of games. 2: Its all down to how a console is marketed. Much like the Wii. |
1: Only few people claim that PS4's success is solely because of its exclusive library (though games like Bloodborne and Infamous did move a lot of units when launching). Many multiplats are actually far bigger console sellers for PS4. Of course many buyers expect a lot of quality 1st party games during the gen like we had with the PS3.
2: Marketing means a lot. We know that. BBH does a far better job than Deutsch. Branding power means a lot as well. But marketing and branding alone don't make a success. Just look at Microsoft's billion dollar marketing budgets for Zune, Windows Phone, Surface, etc.
Sony actually did a clever job in building the PS4 regarding both hardware and software. Furthermore, the popularity wasn't simply handed to them. They made a large number of right choices including $100 cheaper than the competition at launch, stronger specs than the competition, fast and fluid OS and shorter download times than the competition, features like PS Now, share play and remote play, no blocking of used games, no daily online check required, no mandatory camera, vast improved controller, great design (slick, yet internal power brick and user-replaceable hd), history of strong 1st party (10+ prominent inhouse dev studios) and 3rd party library (unrivaled range from Destiny to Yooka-Laylee to niche JRPGs), etc.
Sony fucked up in every way imaginable with the PS3 and the two still managed to stay toe to toe for the entire generation. Microsoft just doesn't have the presence in Europe to win a generation.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
| Azzanation said: Of Course they can, Xbox is a brand just like Nintendo and Sony and Sega etc. There are no advantages that favour any of them, if anything Xbox has a huge advantage since they are under one of the most wealthiest corporations in the world. PS3 had a slow start last gen and even out at the end of the generation, XB1 is having a slow start this generation and will most likely end on the same note as PS4. Gamers need to rejoice and stop hating on other systems. I am a PC gamer and to see people talk down at one another is just sad and gives gaming a bad name. If the 360 didnt do what it did to the PS3 last gen, do you think the PS4 would be what it is today? No. |
Just by reading your first paragraph tells me that you don't know what you are talking about. So Sony winning 3 out of the last 4 generation is pure luck, yeah right. And yes ps4 won this generation whether you like or not and No, xbox one won't have the same "luck" ps3 had last gen. It's obvious you don't understand the factors as to why ps3 did a turnaround last gen. I can assure you it won't happen to xbox one.
Of course, the only thing they need to do is not to f* everything up at reveal...
