yeah it surely was downgraded, but it still looks amazing and like a fucking awesome game.

Seriously

Some of these replies here are so sad. Just recently we had threads with new gameplay footage of the game in action and everyone was praising it for how amazing the game looked. Now everybody wants to act like they've been cheated out of an amazing graphical experience all of a sudden. No. You haven't.

its been announced for a long while. usually with games like that they get downgraded. but thing is, it still looks fucking fantastic, and while it doesnt looks as awesome as it did, it looks great, and the game seems to be fucking epic. its amazing, people say "graphics dont matter" when a game looks great, and bash a game for its graphics if it doesnt look as they expected. geez.

Yeah with PS4 flying off shelves with midrange power and pricing, I expect this to become the status quo moving forwards. It makes business sense.

I wouldn't worry much about it, those $399 are fully expected to give us consoles with around 14-15TFLOPS (current tech equivalent) GPUs, so some 8x PS4 - that is, IMO, enough, unless MSony and third parties go nuts and aim for native 4K and spend a lot of GPU budget on resolution.

Trust me, I'm no stickler for bleeding edge performance; I'm satisfied with the graphics on my Wii U. ;)

I have no problem with consoles being midrange moving forwards.

The way the guy describes the downgrade it makes it seen like the graphics are terrible, like if it were an early PS3 game or something "horrible texture, low quality fire, no particles" huahuha. The graphics are awesome, ye theyre less awesome than E3 2013 but when the game is in early development you dont realy know how heavy itll be to run the whole damm thing and you want to impress audiences so you go overboard on graphics than later realise that you cant realy have a full game looking like that. Bottom line is game looks amazing I dont see whats the problem here.

Yes it does, it uses more tesselation, and the engine proves time and time again it can render big huge monster like this one who was downgraded

Isnt Bloodborne also a liner game?? The Witcher 3 is a massive open world game..

Its open world too, you can get to almost every area without loading

No, it doesn't.

Most of that is textures in the witcher 3 not poligons, bloodborne you can clearly see the uneven enverioment

Did they?

Here it is.

“But when the game has the size of The Witcher 3 it becomes an incomparably bigger challenge and this is what makes our artists totally excited. Screenshots that we’ve shown are from an old build of the engine that ran using a dated renderer. Much of it is already rewritten and judging from the effects, we are aiming for CG quality of in-game graphics.

Well they achieved it!

Everything there is computer generated!

Agreed, they nailed the foliage and that is hard to pull off.
