if it is worth it for the developers of a game to make all the extra costs to make the PC version shine, if the port is still profitable they should though.

Well that would be their problem to sort out, they can't exactly blame PC users for not buying their game if the port is nowhere up to snuff and doesn't look any better, that's meant to be the whole deal with PC is that it's supposed to get better visuals along with FPS, for Indie games with a defined style that's not so much the case but for the bigger fish they are naturally meant to deliver, if they don't think the port is worth it then they only miss out, we technically don't since other games come out and we just buy into them, basically I'll support someone who gives me the time of day with some polish and spitshine but if you don't I'll simply support someone who will and then in the end it makes it harder for you to garner my attention and dosh.

Most of that is textures in the witcher 3 not poligons, bloodborne you can clearly see the uneven enverioment

Bloodborne also has weaker textures, shaders, and lighting though.

PS4 may be the strongest console on the market, but compared to a high end PC, or even compared to PS3/360 back in their heyday, it's not powerful hardware. The bullshot graphics were never in the realm of possibility for consoles.

Bloodborne has also better physics and espacially GPU physics effects and can render more enemies, its hard to compare engines anyways but i still say Fromsoftwares engine is more capable overall.

The pc is stronger but what does it matter if its lacking exclusives to show off what the more powerfull hardware can do. Crysis was one exclusive that showed what the pc could do in 2007. So far all ps4 exclusives look truely next gen and delivered graphicswise, its not sonys fault if third parties cant handle programming for their console like first parties do. The ps4 is powerfull enough for them looking at the third party games right now.

Umn yeah

Star Citizen currently displays the power that PC's can do and funded completely by fans without having to have someone like Sony.

There's still other games that look better on PC btw.

But that's none of my business.

None of those poll options describe how I'm feeling. I might buy it, not sure yet.

More importantly, have they upgraded the gameplay?
Of course not...

Depends on what you like - combat seems to be lighter now, for me that's downgrade, I prefer medieval themed RPGs having heavier combat.

Regardless of whether the graphics have been downgraded or not, I'm buying the game. A miniscule downgrade in visual fidelity is of no concern to me if the game experience as a whole holds up its end of the bargain.

Textures, foliage, shaders and lighting still seem firmly in (bullshot) Witcher 3's favour.

I'm pretty sure it will look at least as good as Witcher 2. So still amazing. Plus I have a feelig this game will see a fair number of mods on PC. Not Skyrim level, but higher than Witcher 2 level. The Open Worldness draws in Mods like crazy

Oh and downgrade won't remove the like 12 hours of sex scenes, lol. This game's sex scenes are longer than most games these days, almost double some.

A bit off topic but is there an official thread for this game on these forums?

We PC gamers can blame only ourselves that PC platform doesn't sell millions or if it does only when a game on sale. There's a good reason why this game isn't a PC exclusive. Also most of the PC gamers still have GPUs like 550,650, 7870 or at very least 760, r9280x. I don't think these GPUs would be able to handle that kind of graphics.

Also. I never played AC Unity but from what I've seen the game wasn't downgraded. As a resuly many PC gamers blamed the devs for terrible optimization while they PCs simply couldn't handle the game.
