Hey guys,

I downloaded Ether One yesterday because it came with PS Plus, and I know the game was already on PC. Also, I know I may be one of the weirdos that actually likes playing with their vertical look inverted, but for a game released in 2015 I just think it is a dumb option for a game not to have.

Its possible for me to still sort of play the game, but it takes me forever to get used to the backwards vertical look and even once I get used to it I go back to my normal ways and start getting confused again.

I know you guys may not care, but is it annoying to anyone else to not have such a feature in a game nowadays?

I've played enough games without the option that I've become able to play either way. Still, for the first 30minutes of every game I tend to be a bit shaky as I haven't commited it to instinct yet.

I don't even understand people who play with an inverted view. I mean, how hard is it to figure out that when you press up you look up, and that down is down.

But I guess people just need to find something to bitch about.

I never could play Silent Hill: Homecoming, because there was no inverted view...

As to why I'm playing inverted: Well, The first FPS I have ever played on a console was Turok on the N64. There was no option to turn off inverted view there, so I just got used to it. After that, normal controls just didn't make any sense in my brain. Seriously, I can Never again play in first person without inverted controls.

But.. I already got the patch that added it, hours ago. Same time I made the other thread complaining

Worse for me is the fact that the game is crashing always on the same part, I can't progress because of it
And the patch mentioned performance improvements, yet it feels exactly the same

That's not really fair to say. It's a legitmate complaint. Some people just can't play without an inverted view. Nothing wrong with that.

It's the difference between thinking of the control stick as a pointer or as the camera. (in third person view it's more like a camera on an invisible boom attached to the character)

If you tilt a camera backwards, it looks up. Tilt it forwards and it looks down.

Inverted y-axis makes more sense to me as it's definately a tilting action rather than a movement, ie altering the angle of the control stick alters the angle of the camera. I can however get used to it without if there isn't an option to change.

I never use inverted controls so this is a-ok for me!

A bunch of weirdies in here! I use inverted view for flight sims, but that's it.
