So we are over a month behind with sales and Wii U and 3DS are still both overtracked? That's just sad.

The good: A return to net profit and operating profit, even if it's on the lower side of what Nintendo probably wants, profit is always good. Software sales for MK8 + Smash were decent.

The bad: Those 3DS and Wii U hardware sales are pretty poor. They both missed their fairly low sales forecasts. People who think the 3DS has another 2 years left in the tank are completely living in fantasy land (I don't care if they slapped "New" on the box of the latest revision).

Nah. They will be fine. Once the mobile news rolls out stuff like this will be a distant memory. Game sales of Smash and Kart have been extraoridnary and this investment paper pretty much confirms that there will be more MK8 DLC happening. So I'm happy.

Not really unless you expect 100% accuracy which would be silly. Assuming the true sold to consumer number is just below the amount shipped, then VGC wasn't ridiculously far off and still gave the right idea.
