Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo results. Shipments: WiiU 340k, 3DS 1.65m, Wii 80k. $350m profit for full year.

Nintendo is only forecasting 7.6 mill 3DS shipments and 3.4 mill Wii U shipments for the next year. 3DS is really fizzling out.

"In addition, a number of key titles from thirdparty
publishers are scheduled for release. For "Wii U," in addition to titles such as "Splatoon" and "Yoshi's Woolly World,"
"Mario Maker (temp.)" which offers a new taste to the 2D Mario series will be released this year marking the 30th year
since the launch of the original "Super Mario Bros." game."
Where is any mention about Fatal Frame V, Devil's Third, Project Treasure and other titles? This schedule looks retarded.

Wii-U has been overtracked constantly here so no surprise there, looks like 10 million is quite far away now. Also Gamecube shipped 630k in the same quarter, so Wii-U is falling even further behind.

It has no chance of catching up anyway.

You don't need to say this three times a day.

That..is pretty sad.

Not really unless you expect 100% accuracy which would be silly. Assuming the true sold to consumer number is just below the amount shipped, then VGC wasn't ridiculously far off and still gave the right idea.

My post mainly refers to Wii U not even hitting 10 million shipped yet. And still being below their super low forecast that people said they were lowballing because of MK8 and SSBU.

Yeah It's pretty insane. Nintendo does bad = doom. Nintendo makes profit = still doom

I think the world would explode if people didnt say they were doomed, the end would be nigh

Man I remember a year ago when half of this site was certain that the Wii U forecast was just them lowballing it and a ton of people ragged on one guy for saying they would only barely hit their forecast... and now we have this.

Nintendo has to learn and change or they can just leave the dedicated hardware market to focus on their actual strength: their software.

(2) Outlook for fiscal year ending March 31, 2016
For "Nintendo 3DS" and "Wii U," in addition to maintaining the performance of already-released titles with strong sales
potential, new titles will continue to be introduced in order to further expand the installed bases. Specifically, by
sequentially introducing additional download content for blockbuster titles such as "Mario Kart 8" and "Super Smash Bros.

for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U," we aim to keep these titles played more actively.

That could just be Smash Bros. since it's confirmed to receive more content.

Maybe, but I doubt it. I don't think they would be using DLC pack 2 as a way to say they are expecting more profit from MK8 in 2016. I'm betting at E3 they will announce more DLC. Maybe battle packs and a 'vote for the next racer' to MK8.

True now that I better read the wording, I guess I just don't want to be disappointed in the event that they really are dumb enough not to make more DLC. :L
