Lol, I meant I doubt that a Yooka-Laylee amiibo would be released, even if the game has amiibo support :P

I doubt the developers are gonna make any content exclusive for the Wii U version, that fanbase is tiny compared to the PS4+X1+PC fanbase buying the game and it would be stupid to piss them off unless Nintendo really makes it worth their while which I doubt they would do for DLC, so any content on amiibo would probably come to the other versions of the game.  If this happens it begs the question why even lock the content behind an amiibo, why not just let people download it like the other versions of the game.

You're thinking about it wrong. Its not about the content it unlocks. Its about the Amiibo itself. Not just for Nintendo, but for Playtonic and for their fans. They want to create a Nintendo experience, as evidenced by their releasing it on a N64 flashcart. Amiibo would validate and give the full Nintendo experience.

Besides I think the Wii U version will sell better than all versions.... except for PC.

Who honestly thinks of Amiibo as a feature that validates the Nintendo experience?  Also there is no chance of the Wii U version outselling the PS4 version, I can't even think of any third party game that has ever done that, even Rayman Legends which was highly advertised on the Wii U early on, and released on the PS3 first so it was late on PS4 and many Sony gamers already bought it, still sold more on PS4.

And another thing Nintendo is obviously gonna fail to keep this amiibo in stock which means less DLC sales for the developer.

Rayman techinically grew up on PS.

EDIT:

It would have done more if Ubisoft didnt delay the finished prodeuct on wii u for 7 months.

This is a gamebeing made by devs Nintendo fans grew up to love their creations with

it has a chance doing best on wii u.

I could see this game on Wii U outselling PS4 and XB1 easily, but will it? who knows, that will be determined in over a years time. Whether it does or doesnt is irrelevant as I just want a good game in the game and cant wait to get the physical release of this game. I prob wont open it lol

The question is if they actually make amiibo how do they make up for it on other consoles/PC??
Do they just give us the amiibo stuff as cheaper DLC?? Or do they say fuck you to a majority of thier fans??
Its kind of important they they try to treat all fanbases equally, not doing so could seriously hurt thier business.

Nintendo fans usually get the rough end of the stick when it comes to multiplatform games, it would be nice to buck that trend. Other companies get timed exclusivity or exclusive DLC etc when they strike deals. Amiibo support would be win win for Nintendo and Playtonic.

So releasing on Sony's last gen system first and getting the game on PS4 late after many Sony gamers already played the game wasn't enough of a handicap for the Wii U version to sell more?  It needed 7 monthes of exclusivity then the Wii U version would have a big enough handicap to sell more than the PS4 version...your really just helping my arguement.

Delays effect people though.

Plus you are comparing an ip that started and grew with ps compared to a spiritual sucessor to a game that Nintendo fans/ some microsoft fans grew up with.
