If this is true then Square Enix will be the largest gaming Publisher in Japan, I think they already are at this point. I hope Square Enix allows Kojima to join them (vice versa), he need to continue to make high budget games preferable to stay 3rd party. Nintendo makes high quality but most low budget games and they suck at multiplayer. I hope Kojima never joins Nintendo, would rather he join Sony (SCE) because they have more of a infrastructure to support Kojima's type of games.

Never trust any western started rumour about Japanese games especially not those that look like they came from 4chan.

We get that it is a rumour, but it looks like plausible one. Not the transcript word by word, but Konami other bussiness indicate a company averse to risk, huge upfront budgets and big development cycles. Even Ground Zeroes makes more sense in this scenario, as a way to "kickstart" the real game with a $30 demo.

Obviously we will never know for sure, but the guy was more informative than most gaming press about the case. 

I believe Nintendo makes some of the best multiplayer games. Both Smash and MK8 actually had less problems (if any) at launch than Sony/MS/EA recently.

About who should get what, i think Square would be a good option for MGS as a way to keep it multi plataform, i would give SH to Sony and Castlevania to Nintendo. The worst case would be anything going to Sega, SH going to Capcom (they already made RE action oriented) and MGS going to Nintendo (since it would segregate the fan base).

Kojima in Platinum would be awesome, but they are small for him. Nintendo or Sony would be great.

I doubt those have any access to Japanese sources as well, or any Westerner for that matter. Unless there were Americans/Europeans  working at Konami in Japan and one of them was in a position to know this info and leaked it using language gamers use. "last thing he needs are people cancelling pre-orders" suggests he doesn't even work at Konami.

The thing is these rumours pop up right after some bad shit happens, and the faster the rumour surfaces the less likely it is to be true and written in the heat of the moment to add fuel to the drama, and this one came as fast as they could showing up mere hours after the announcement.

There's obviously stuff going on there, I just refuse to believe it has anything to do with this rumour.
