Nintendo can't release SquareEnix games if that company aren't on board.

The companies re-releasing SNES games on the VC have or are coming to the end of their libraries which means there's nothing left to release, hence the SNES VC support coming to an end.

It is what it is.

I'm pretty sure Squeenix would rather remake its older games for the umpteenth time for mobile than port them to the VC anyway.
