Yes, there should be options where you can lower the graphics for higher fps.

There shouldnt be a need for such a setting to begin with...

Then tell companies to stop pushing graphics, and give me 60fps. But then the people who want graphics will complain. There is the reason people want the options. Bloom, Depth of field, and motion blur can screw off. They never make a game more realistic for me. I'd love these be toggle-able.

They are on the PC. Play on that. Problem solved...

There's a reason why people play on consoles, especially when it's about exclusives. So no, problem isn't solved at all.

It takes no work to include options to e. g. disable film grain; there ARE already options in some console games to toggle VSYNC, therefore there is absolutely no reason not to extend these options.

Like I said. Mostly PC gamers are the ones that are bothered by the visuals on consoles...

The thing with adjustable settings for pc is that it is necessary because a lot of people have older or weaker gpus and cpus so they can run the mixed out game. Consoles should perhaps have a 30fps and 60fps setting with a corresponding graphics downgrade with 60fps. But that's only necessary if the console can't handle maxed out graphics at 60fps. So I don't think all games should have it, but it might be good for some games to have it.

This should be the norm, along with settings for framerate, FOV, Vsync, and resolution. I'm willing to sacrifice some details for 60 frames per second, and I couldn't care less about Vsync because I don't usually mind a little tearing. It's annoying but if it helps me get to 60 FPS, I don't mind it.

I agree, would be nice on getting to that option of 60fps

If you want the settings play on PC. Devs already get us the best experience out of the box on games. Luckily there is a 0% chance of this catching on.

I love gaming on my PC but really don't want this on consoles, though it really wont hurt anything on a racing game.
