I think the only ones that really want this are people who play more on PC than consoles. I play exclusively on consoles and the only setting Ive ever needed was the brightness setting...

Yes, there should be options where you can lower the graphics for higher fps.

There shouldnt be a need for such a setting to begin with...
I agree, most people hate a lot of visuals. Like Motion Blur, Depth of Field, Film Grain & Bloom, so, personally i hate those FX, it hurts my eyes.
Good, that way graphics and fps whores will both be satisfied and shut the hell up.

And yes, I know that changing the resolution from 1080p to 720p doesn't give you automatically an FPS boost that would make the game run at a constant 60FPS. Just make two simple options to choose from. Both being optimized by the devs. |

Then tell companies to stop pushing graphics, and give me 60fps. But then the people who want graphics will complain. There is the reason people want the options. Bloom, Depth of field, and motion blur can screw off. They never make a game more realistic for me. I'd love these be toggle-able.
This should be the norm, along with settings for framerate, FOV, Vsync, and resolution. I'm willing to sacrifice some details for 60 frames per second, and I couldn't care less about Vsync because I don't usually mind a little tearing. It's annoying but if it helps me get to 60 FPS, I don't mind it.
