So far, this is my favorite new character in Brawl.  He's slow and lumbering, and in 1vs1 will probably get his ass handed to him by most of the other characters.  But in 4-way FFA, Dedede's lack of speed isn't as much of a disadvantage, as you can wind up for a well-placed smash while your opponents are duking it out with each other.  This guy lays down the pain with that massive hammer.  I will think of him every time someone mentions the banhammer from this moment forward.

So, who else pronounced his name "day-day-day" until you heard the announcer call him "dee-dee-dee"?  I still do it; I think the announcer is wrong.  ;)

On my game they do say "day-day-day." What's up with that?

I say his name Dedede, because we Finns have this odd habit of pronouncing stuff the way they're written. The Great Vowel Shift's a bitch, ain't it? =P

He's my favorite character so far as well, but I haven't even played the game yet, so that might change.

I prounounce it dee-dee-dee always have since Kirby Pinball, my Brawl was posted to me yesterday so i havent had the change to try him out yet, i normally prefer the mid-speed characters over the overly fast or slow ones so he probally wont be used to much by me.

I always pronounced it as "Dee-deed," with the 3rd E being silent, and the stress on the second syllable. No idea why.

My Japanese copy says "Day-day-day" and apparently the English one says "Dee-dee-dee." I don't know which one will stick on me.

def. not my fav. that is reserved for metaknight and/or marth.

Definitely not a fan of Dedede.  If I want power, I'll use Ike.

Name is DROAK.

Dedede is my second favorite after Metaknight. His projectile gives him a lot of flexibility, and even his regular moves do some sick damage. He would definitely be better if his Up Air could kill though. At least he has good recovery. I think he is the best of the large characters.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S.
