The profit isnt in the consoles, Live is where they make there money and there nailing it. X1 is still selling well despite there last big hitter was Horizon 2.

Software and Live i would say is wherer the profit comes from. Its always slow this time of year though, and with X360 winding down im not too surprised

Do you think Games with Gold is a reason more people are on Xbox Live? I have bought fewer games, but with the sales and Gold have more games than I can play right now.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Its certainly a reason. MS pushes very aggressively on the dashboard of both 360 and X1.
