What if SW Battlefront flops?

Nothing will happen. Money will rain. 51 56.67%

People will burn EA and Dice in a stake. 21 23.33%

Disney will abandon EA and reopen LucasArts. 11 12.22%

Now, I know it's too early to say a game will tank or not, but because EA's trackreccord has been pretty dissapointing in the last couple of years (I think the only one of their games not hit with mayor criticism was DA Origins), and because a lot of the info we have about the game is making people feel unconfortable,  I'm not going to expect the best. This is all speculation.

So, this game WILL make tons of money, no doubt. It's a Star Wars game, and people was really waiting for a new installment on the SW BF series. Whether it blows everyone's minds or it fails to impress, it will make money for EA and Disney. But here's the thing: they are expectin tons of money. What if the game becomes just a moderated succes? What if it launches is a similar state as BF 4, or it lacks too much content? Pepole will burn this game on a stake. What would Disney do? Star Wars is too big of a franchise to let someone just make it look bad.

EDIT: Sorry I forgot about DA Inquisition XD.

EDIT 2: I think I need to clarify that my question wasn't whether SW BF3 will flop or not, the game will make money. I was thinking more of a flop in reception: what would happen to the future Star Wars games if this game is a critical dissapointment? What would EA do, what would Disney do?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

It's coming out the month before the new star wars film, Star Wars will be the most talked about franchise by far, if they can't capitalize on that they must have dome something REALLY wrong. Games looking to be shaping out well imo.

Honestly, the only reason I can see this flopping is because it's releasing after Halo 5 and Black Ops 3. A lot of people might feel they already have their online shooters for the year with those two games.

I know it's it lacking in content but as far as gameplay is concerned dice and battlefront should be a match made in heaven. which will hopefully sell enough to secure a sequel where they can expand on the content and add space battles/more eras/galactic conquest online and more.

As long as it's decent I'll be getting it half a year-year later when it's either on sale or in the bargain bin.

I think it flops and the movie too

The upcoming film is currently positioned to break the box office records set by Avatar.

Even if Battlefront wasn't looking solid as it is at this point in its development, it could practically coast off the waves generated by the film release.

Even if it is riddled with bugs and poor reviews it will still be profitable.....

Every game had criticism. Dragon age Inquisition was their last game so I'm pretty confident seeing that Inquisition was amazing.

EA will die, all their games will go back to their original companies. Maxis will emerge once again to make a good SIM city game, Bioware will make Kotor3, and we will get good command and conquer games again.
