A stand alone board? Why would Nintendo sell that? All of the games with Wii Fit are made to only need 1 board or 2 wiimotes (be they 1 player or 2 player). I think games for it will work like games for Link's Crossbow Training whereas only 1 player plays at a time. Considering how cool it is, that should be fine. Heck, it is good enough for a light gun game like Link's Crossbow Training.

Wii Fit should cost between $80 and $100, no stand alone board, and be focused on 1 player at a time.

Now, if Nintendo only brought back the power pad for Wii Sports 2 and Mario and Sonic at the Olympics 2.

I think you are looking at a $90 price point -- about what people pay for Guitar Hero -- based upon articles that I have seen and the current exchange rates.

It will be the same type of people buying the game. It is easily a 1M seller in NA. Plus with additional games being done for the balance board, it will become a must have item (Skiing by Namco, for example will use the board).

Finally, just remember that Wii buyers are more mainstream than hardcore -- so it will sell well.

It is going to be a system seller over here and in Europe no doubt. The potential of the balance board alone is going to excite gamers. Look at the Wii zapper, a piece of plastic with a above average game that has already sold well over a million. Nintendo knows what they are doing and people are loving it.

I dont know about quality , but it will sell ... and at the end of the day , thats what matters for a company ...
