Exactly , some of the sane ones aren't much better you have two indigens fighting over territory , now any one with commonsense would do away with one indigen and the territorial dispute is over , but no the idiot scientist says you have to kill both because he doesn't know who's who. I learned an important lesson though , no matter what henious crimes your fellow blades may commit you have to let them run away or forgive them , and what ever you do never tell those in charge about it , also don't worry if your actions leads to more deaths. |
Coiunter: You guys are forgetting Lao's temper tantrum: the survivors were picked for political reasons first, then survival skills second, and presumably anything else last. And with 20 million survivors per vessel, and at least one other American ship launched, likely much more, it's not like they have to be THAT picky over who goes and who stays. Even if there were only two US ships launched (unlikely), that's still about a tenth of the American populace at the time: plenty of room for bad apples, especially if a lot of the mimesomed folks are supposed to be fighters first and foremost. Add to that how no one thinks death is actually permanent, and what's a few murders between friends?
In reality of course the selection sucked balls, but how else can we have such riveting storylines as Murderess, or the Celeste Three?
