Just got a Skell, amazing game.

People having trouble getting drops off monsters, target their appendages, some are required to be destroyed before it can drop. Alternatively, use reward tickets (from squad missions, don't need to participate, you'll get some anyway) to purchase mob drops inside the Barracks. You can purchase any item that is normally dropped.

In fact, always target lock on an appendage and tell your party to focus attacks, destroying one will limit your enemies attacks and usually topple them.

Also, use the Follow Ball.

there are quests early on that needs like a skell to accomplish them. atleast there are some quests early on, where you have to beat something on sylvalum, and monsters there are high level.sooo....

Just reached Noctilum, and my jaw hit the floor.

I mean, I'd seen it in Nintendo Directs and trailers, but seeing it in-game was another thing entirely. So freaking beautiful. And that music!

My bad, I figured it out; I just needed to wait for the next day cycle and farm the ones in other areas.

oh lol ok. And yes i agree with that noctilum feeling. Holy shi* this game is awsome. Also got the hang of the battle system a bit more

OK so for those who don't know I haven't played the game and won't until Christmas. So all I can do is watch early level streams (the cold reactions from some of these people to Mira are awesome :P ) and study the base mechanics. And one thing I think has been undersold by Nintendo is the Soul Voice system. Seriously, look into that. You tweak your character's Soul Voices (fyi, your Soul Voices are what your character cries out when you succede a Soul Challenge (the battle QTE) to fit your team and play style and you can really drive up your damage and get a lot of healing. Seriously, I've seen soul combos just rek enemies and keep teams at almost full HP against tough opponents. It takes some finicking, but it pays dividends. It's almost like a real time, dynamic chain attack system when you get it firing on all cylinders.

First time I play a Xeno game and I'm in love with the battle system.
