Yeah indeed, I was very late to the ps3 party myself last gen but very quickly found myself with 50+ titles on the shelf and a ton more digitally off psn sales.

Great thing is a lot of the games which were AAA in the first few years of a consoles life are so mass produced that the 2nd hand market is flooded with them so they mostly lose their value rather quickly (except for damn mario/pokemon games).

It has actually encouraged me to do the same this gen, just sitting back right now munching through my backlog of ps360 games 3ds/vita stuff while waiting for the X1/PS4 to have a tasty library to jump into later on down the road.

Thanks, as someone who really only started playing jrps within the last year, and only on nintendo systems so far, the classic games alone will keep me going for ages:)

You pay a sub for 1-3-12 months and on the first weds of each month you get 2 games per playstation system added to your psn account (2 ps3, 2 vita and 2 ps4) they're often very new games and most of them are pretty high quality stuff, you keep access to the games while your sub is active but if you allow it to run out you can no longer play the games until you reactivate your sub, whenever you have it active you will regain the ability to play all the games from your previous sub times. This month say you would get Tower of Guns, Aarus awakening and Dishonored for the PS3 (tower of guns is listed as one of the two ps4 games but it has cross buy so you would gain a ps3 copy from that too)

psn+ is a pretty cool system because of the fact that it works slightly like game rental (even tho you never lose any game you get from it while your sub is ever active) it can be encouraging to finish games it offers you and of course it will always offer you games that you might not have considered playing but enjoy when they're dished up to you for "free" you get 6 games per month and 12 months costs around 50euros so 72 games over the 12 months or 69cent per game.

Don't get any games that have been remastered on PS4! You can get one in 2024 and enjoy them all in a better version!
