Forums - Gaming Discussion - Without Playstation, would the industry be in another crisis?

@Samus-

BTW take my two points why Nintendos isnt perfect.

Point 1: The motion technology of Wii was illegally obtained and Nintendo lost to Philips. This was proven in court.

Point 2: 3DS technology used another persons patent which was also illegally used. They again lost in the court.

None of them are new IPs or new ideas as you like to claim. List your most anticipated games of this year, how many of them are new IPs?

But nooo, only evil Nintendo makes sequels to their existing franchises!

You're basically saying Nintendo needs to stop developing Mario and Zelda games. Some of the most succesful franchises in gaming history. It would take an incredibly stupid company to stop producing Mario and Zelda games. Companies make sequels to games that sell. Deal with it.

AC, COD, Batman all came in Nintendo systems. How do you say it? Releasing them in Nintendo systems is bad?

Keep playing CoD, Assasins Creed, Batman Arkham series, Halo, GoW, The Witcher, Uncharted, TLOU (we all know a sequel is in development), LBP, Gears of War, FF, etc.

You actually bothered to put final fantasy there? Didnt final fantasy originated in Nintendo home consoles and kept getting sequels after sequels in NES and SNES?

I have no clue what you're talking about.

All I proved was that every gaming company makes sequels to succesful franchises. Yet you single Nintendo out. Why?

It doesn't matter which platform would be the leading one, sequels will always be made to succesful games. It's common sense.

Lol, using patent hoarding as an argument in a thread that has nothing to do with that. Ok...

Every big company has had issues with patents.
