Forums - Sony - Should Sony Bundle Vita+PS4 for $500

I think its pointless. The vita is a device the West doesnt want. Let it go.

100% this.

There is no "saving the Vita" the mass market simply doesn´t care about it.

The thing is what good will bundling the PS Vita do if Sony doesn't even still properly support it with games. Sales might increase, but what would be the point then if Sony won't put any first party games on it.

Hmm. Maybe bundle the PS4 with Project Morpheus for $400 to 500 when morpheus releases instead of doing a price cut.

As a comment by a poster earlier, i disagree that sony didn't give up on the vita. Sony gave up on the vita before it really began, first by not having any of its major studios making games for it, 2nd the high price of the memory cards, 3rd by its orignal high price of the system $299 for a handheld ( major mistake ), 4th price of the games, 5th not really getting walmart, gamestop, bestbuy, and other retailers to embrace the system.
In short sony killed the system just before it launched, and again when they hardly talked about it at gaming expo's over the years, also when they even at e3 i believe at e3 2014 said the vita was a controller for the ps4 and not a system in its own right.

I personally love the vita and i know alot of ppl who do as well, the problem is sony does not.....

Eh, I think the vita is a great handheld, but bundling it with the ps4 wouldnt save it. The only thing that would save the vita is some actual support by sony. Since inception, the vita has only had token support along with late ports or half translated games.

Basically, the only thing that will keep the vita going in the long run is better support. The ps4 connectivty is pretty worthless for the most part and I think the vast majority of people would just ignore a bundle...

How about a Sony Playstation TV instead? (consol version of the vita).
Remote play for your PS4 (if someone in your home is hogging the main TV).

Access to a even bigger game library this way (than the ps4 alone), could help sales for vita games.

A PS4 + Playstation TV is already available!

I think launching a WW PS4/PS TV Bundle for $399, plus one PS4 game and one Vita game, after the PS4 hits $299 is a better idea.

Why bother? PS TV and Vita sell horribly on their own, so why would people buy them bundled with PS4?

Even better, Sony should bundle PS3 and PS4 together for $500. PS3 has better games and more features than PS TV/Vita. PS3 is mostly dead and it still has a brighter future than PS TV/Vita.

Why should they bundle in a device they don't support...?

It would hurt PS4 sales!
