Yet another release of SFIV isn't special, no. As a game in general, I'm sure it's fantastic but it releasing on the PS4 isn't some grand event that makes all other fighting games worthy of peasants, as you are making it out to be.


It is tho, SF is imo the peak of fighting games last gen, while I have pretty much every fighter that came out on the Vita (marvel v capcom 3, blaz, sf x tekken, SC broken destiny, Tekken 6, SFA2, Tekken2... I'm sure there is one other I own too but can't think of it) I still find myself breaking out the 3DS for handheld fighting purity with SSF4:3d even tho the controls and screen of the Vita mean all other games outshine it in those categories but the gameplay of SF4 is just perfect for a fighter.

I accept that this is just my opinion in terms of 3ds SF4 > Vitas (every fighter on system) but SF does hold a far larger fan base than most other fighting games combined.

The lack of a real fighting game this gen was killing me... that will fit the gap until SFV.

If it was next gen exclusive, it wouldn't be on PS4 which is from the current generation of consoles, not the upcoming generation of consoles.

Also, this isn't a megaton announcement, it's just another Street Fighter.
