No, they weren't. Gen 1 and 2 were all Gameboy games, just like how Gen 4 and 5 were all DS games. Only Gen 3, and likely now 6, were exclusive to one system.

In my opinion I don't think It will be on 3DS as they just released one about half a year ago, so I think If they did one for the 3DS the re-makes will catch up to the original Pokemon games.

Because of this, I think it will release in the middle of the NX's lifespan.

2017 Holiday: Pokemon Gen 7 (3DS)
2018 Holiday: Pokemon Gen 7 Sequel (3DS)
2019 Holiday: Pokemon Gen 8 (NX)
2021 Summer: Pokemon DP Remakes (NX)

I'll be pissed if I see this remake on the 3DS. Absolutely no need as the 3DS is backwards compatible. Put it on the NX Nintendo.

I agree, its too early, 5 years minimum, but why no more remakes? I mean i rather have new games too, but what about the people tht love those games? 

Its no like those remakes are released within 2-6 years after the originals came out :p

Also Gen 4 is the worst, so im not looking forward to any remakes for awhile, unless Gen 1 remakes come back :0

The were only GBC enhanced. Gold and Silver still worked on the original Gameboy, so it's still nothing. BW/B2W2 were DSi enhanced, but no one considers them special for that. If B2W2 were DSi exclusives, they wouldn't be considered "still something." These are no different.

Only a 2 year gap between generations? That doesn't seem too likely to me.

True, well maybe a year skip then. I forgot i only put 2 years lol. 3-4 years per gen
