Fair enough. But if you want a discussion on what would be the best possible launch with no context or no basis in the past or reality ...

Mario Galaxy 3, Animal Crossing Next, Mario Kart 9, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Monster Hunter 5, Pokemon Rainbow, Zelda NX, Grand Theft Auto VI, and Call of Duty. 

How's that for a launch window? That's the best launch window that they could hypothetically have. 

For a Japan launch:
A Brand New Kirby or Super Mario platformer, followed quickly in coming weeks by a new Pokemon game or Monster Hunter game, and something along the lines of a new Professor Layton or Phoenix Wright title.

For a NA/Europe Launch:
A Brand New Super Mario platformer, followed by a new Pokemon, a new handheld FIFA title, a Zelda remake/enhanced port and something along the lines of a new Professor Layton or Phoenix Wright games.

Capcom won't make MH5 a launch title. They will wait for a big installed base. Pokemon and Mario Kart are unlikely as well. You have to look at the past for hints of the future. Just look back at the DS and 3DS. The DS launched with Super Mario 64 DS and the 3DS had Pilotwings and Zelda OoT right after. I'd say a Mario Galaxy remix and something else. Maybe a Skyward Sword remake.

Ya I think early 3DS sales were affected more from the software than the price, if it had a killer lineup for the first 6 months, the price wouldn't have been nearly as big of a factor, $250 is the max I think they should go tho.
