The future is informed by the past, there's no question Nintendo has to consider their past mistakes with the previous two launches in how they handle a potential future launch.

Mario Galaxy 3, Animal Crossing Next, Mario Kart 9, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Monster Hunter 5, Pokemon Rainbow, Zelda NX, Grand Theft Auto VI, and Call of Duty. 

How's that for a launch window? That's the best launch window that they could hypothetically have.
