Yeah, Rayman for me has been something incredible in terms of the level design and tight controls; coupled with the later challenges that flex your reflexes. Hope we see more from both Rayman and Ori.

I hope we see more of the "unbiased reviews" always a good read. Well except to those who take offense to the title

Anyway great review. When I get an xbox i'll definitely pick this up.

If you have a PC, it's also on there as well.

Definitely my GOTY so far.

If you want to know why i consider Rayman better than mario, it not only lies within the design of the game and the rock solid platforming, but the difficulty.  Rayman offers a wide variaty of challenges, where as mario i felt like i was walking through scenery.  It wasnt a challenge at all.  That is my problem with mario.  This has nothing to do with platform, bias, or whatever else you want to claim.  I did not and still dont find NSMBU to be a good game.  What mario accels in is accessibility, tight gameplay, and interesting level design which is the only reason i didnt score it lower.  But there was not one instance that i found the game fun because i felt like it was geared towards kids only.

I felt the same way about Super Mario Galaxy. It was way to easy. It was so easy i quit playing it without finishing it.

They should add difficulty settings in my opinion

I wouldn't say I am unbiased if I scored NSMBU lower than other platformers because it's "geared towards kids only". You clearly have a bias for more mature/adult games. I think you should accept it Jay, you are just as biased as anyone here in the forums. And I don't say that as something bad but as something good. It's good be biased and reflect that in a review because it is an opinion! You don't review games by being objective because you can't be objective with your own opinion!

PS: I liked your review.

No i completely agree with you.  No opinion is unbiased.  I am however not going to discrimate by platform which is how this review series started.

And thanks!
