So basically the real supporters of the game get screwed.

You got the game first. I see this as an apology  for the other console owners getting it so late

What about PC players for GTA V?, it's 18 months later and as far as I can see they are including a spruced up video editor, something that the last game had, the game is supposed to come with all the bells and whistles (covers textures, settings and the like PC games suually get) so those aren't extra "thank you for waiting" features, no lower price either.

People who bought the original SN are basically screwed because they don't get their own platform specific content while XB and PS do, I don't think even PC has specific content either, the devs for jamestown improved gamepad support for the PS4 edition with new content while PC gamers are elft with shoddy gamepad support and no extra content to make theirs unique.

Honestly it's a kick in the teeth either way but really you should release aon all platforms you're going to release on anyway because if you don't you have to make up for lost time to the other side and then you piss off the original people you sold to and have to please them or you risk losing them the enxt time around and it's not really their fault, it's the dev who decides to do this pieces at extended times.

That's an odd interpretation of this news, and I don't see how other games are relevant here either. Shovel Knights' platform specific content is basically just an over glorified secret boss. Nintendo devices and PC are only missing a boss who is functionally new with the aesthetics of popular character.

How am I not a real supporter buying this day 1 when it comes out on Vita? :P (the format of choice for my daily work commute)

I meant the people who supported it on kickstarter (pc gamers/Nintendo fans).

I want both Link and Samus in there. These games were released during the 8-bit era.

They got a game in the first place. Which is what they supported. That is all the kick starters were owed.

Now they've added incentives for huge fans to buy newer versions, expanded the potential audience and added potential incentives for PC/Nintendo fans who passed over the game the first time.

Not really that odd, I was talking in relation to the "thanks for waiting" part I had issues with and the differences when a dev favours one party over the other.

"only missing a boss", to you it seems like only is a small issue but to others they see it as an unequal balance, at the end of the day Nintendo/PC users do not get a boss while Sony gets a boss and MS get Battletoads, I still count N and PC having nothing setting themselves apart, having less than the other two or being the base game isn't a benefit or better than having unique extra content tbh.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

And giving people extra content who didn't support the game initially will leave a bad taste in their mouth. And Yacht Club hasn't even fulfilled all of their kickstarter promises yet. So to see them focus on exclusive content for other consoles is a bit disheartening.

It's not like Nintendo is unwilling to do these sort of deals (SSX on Tour and Sonic Lost World for example).

That's completely different. Rockstar is huge. They can do whatever they want. Shovel Knight has to get on the good side of each random

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

It's a rerelease of a one year old game, they wanted an advertising hitch to appeal to each respective fanbase. I agree that Yacht Club should have also done the same thing for Nintendo. However I think they either couldn't get an approval from Nintendo or thought it was unnecessary to advertise the game more on their consoles, because after all, the content itself is negligible when we compare games.

OMGosh dudes (PC/Nintendo fans) you got it first. Almost a whole year before everyone else. There have been plenty of games that has extra content after they were the last ones to get a game. Like Arkham City for the Wii U. XB fans and PS fans weren't crying about extra stuff there.

Now I do understand the general complaint about having something "special" there for a specific console. I understand that and maybe down the line or so, they MAY have something for Nintendo fans (don't know about PC). Still, I don't think this is a slap in the face at all to early adopters of the game.

Hmmm now to choose between this version or the other version?

Are they both just small content additions?
