physical distribution should just die on the PC

Because choice is a bad thing and everyone has access to broadband internet?

this is not a democracy, its developers comfort as to where they put their games and most are going digitally

and if in 2015 you want to play games and don't have an internet connection,i guess you are living under a rock

It's neither your decision to let physical releases die, it's the decision of the publisher. Physical and digital releases aren't mutually exclusive.

And don't worry, I have a fast internet connection (50 Mbit/s). I'm just (pre?-)downloading 62 GB (GTA V)... and the Rockstar servers suck! Should have chosen Steam.

But that's not the point... not everyone has the option for fast internet connections. Should they move in another town just to download some games?

its not mine but i can have an opinion

i think fast internet connection is available most places today

and even if anybody has a slower connection, they can wait a little bit

i ould not buy a pc physical disc as i like to have all my collection in the same format

i am actually for hard copies as you don't know when a site will shutdown but when everything is digital then i also went digital

That's only true for most cities (and even there many people have strict data caps in some countries), but not for many smaller towns.

"A little bit" can be days or even weeks with slow internet connections.

That's your choice, but please let other people with other preferences make their own choices. And please even try to see beyond the end of your own nose!

Again, most physical PC releases are actually a steam game still. :p

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

But you can install (most parts of) the game from the disc, even if a Steam account is necessary, which reduces the data to download immensely.

thats a person's personal problem like there are no game shops in small towns either

i didn't say other people had to go with my choice

How do they measure the digital market for single markets? As example, if I buy a Humble Bundle living in UK, does Humble Bundle give theses numbers to those who collect the data for UK? I kinda doubt that...

Do they even count these kind of bundles at all anywhere? Not even sure about this.

They still can order retail games at Amazon or other shops... most countries have working postal systems.

Yes, you did. "physical distribution should just die on the PC" were your words. If physical distribution is dying, it takes that choice of people prefering retail games.
