I mean yeah they sold more in USA for two months but they still lost WW and the bundle that moved consoles was a third party bundle(ASSCREED bundle).

 

MS games either underperformed(MCC was supose to be the best selling HD collection only behind GTA remember?),sold average(Forza Horizon) or flopped hard(Sunset overdrive and D4) cause not only they had too fight against multiplats but against each other.

That is why i think forza should be released in august with tomb raider in september and halo in october.

Then release a bundle in november for black friday.

This is the best for both software sales and hardware boost.But to be honest,i believe MS will just trow everything in 2 months spam in order to get two NPDs.


Horizon 2 already sold better then average including digital copies it already sold over a million copies and if you also include the physical and digital version of the 360 version it probably closing in on 2 million copies.  Also Sunset Overdrive didn't flop hard its closing in on a million copies sold which is good for a new IP.  D4 didn't do so good but that game is super niche so no one expected it to sell a lot.

I think because I have put in so much time in Forza 5 and the experience is still so fresh to me, I may not be the target audience for Forza 6. Forza 6 in Q4 2015 does make for one hell of a holiday lineup for Microsoft.


They alway been on a two year development cycle going back to the first game on the original X-Box.  Q1 2016 will most likley when Quantum Break will be released.

All that matters in this consoles wars is who win USA. Japan and most european countries is Sony teritory and Microsoft can hardly gain any ground. 

But, USA on the other hand can still be won. At this point it's clear PS4 is going to win 8th Gen, but losing USA again to Microsoft would be a big loss especially concidering the head start from early success.  USA is still the biggest market and Microsoft is poised to gain it back Holiday 2015.

I don't think so. I think a good amount of people are hoping for a new Forza Motorsport with a ton of content. Could be the best one yet.

man Microsoft takes them out every year

they have been milking halo and forza for quite some time now

they don't have anything else though


they should only take out like 2 versions every generation

I would probably agree with you, but there are a few things in the mix.

First this one, Forza 6 will probably run on DirectX 12. Which should enhance and improve things, plus they have had a few years to work on the console, over the launch game Forza 5. I think there should be some significant improvements the look of the game.

Second, Forza 5 seemed to be missing a number of things, tracks and stuff, that people expected. So my impression that it was a little disappointing for a Forza game.

Forza 5 introduced us to DriveAvatars. Forza 6 should have better graphics, more tracks and cars, and just elevate what Forza 5 did. Plus who knows, maybe something new (like plane races or something) that we haven't don't know about yet.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Forza is a yearly franchise now, it wont be delayed. turn 10 managed to release a launch title with a 2 year dev cycle, they surely wont miss this one.

I doubt they would delay the game. Forza has been an October release for quite some time. If anything they'll have it in September so October is all about Halo.
