Nope bro, they belong to Playstation! It's like Mario and Zelda in Playstation All-Stars.

In spirit I guess, but there have been plenty of *bad* Crash and Spyro games on Nintendo consoles, with maybe one or two good ones. Crash and Spyro belong nowhere anymore (I guess Spyro is find in Skylanders.)

It's more different than that though. Nintendo specifically stated ANY character is possible. I'm not saying it will happen, and the chances actually are pretty much zero, but that does not mean its not possible. Because it IS possible.
However, Mario and Zelda are different stories because unlike Crash, they were NEVER on any other console besides Nintendo. Crash and Spyro have been on Nintendo consoles.

So Mega Man, Sonic, Pac-Man and Snake belongs to Nintendo...?

Also, you are just using the same logic I am using to try and prove your point. So, if my point is not valid due to the logic I am using, neither is yours. |
Well actually... the Playstation sold 100 million consoles while Crash sold 5-7 million per game and while 18+ million combined sounds like a lot, there is a lot of overlap of players buying the sequels so I would say around 10 million people actually "grew up" with Crash because a lot of Playstation owners didn't even own the game... And on top of that, the ps2 crash games were in decline so really... Not even most playstation owners grew up with Crash and neither did most Nintendo owners
And yes, that is true but the thing is that the Nintendo fans that grew up with the games are the ones in the forums and they are also the core Nintendo fans that will actually even bother to vote in the ballot and most core Nintendo fans would disagree with Crash being in there. And that is most likely because they didn't grow up with Crash since there are plenty of mascots that are in both Sony/Nintendo platform that many people think should be on there. And since there isn't really a valid way to prove either of our arguments as you said, it is better to try to prove with what we got instead of what we don't got and what we got is a lot of Nintendo fans saying No...

I voted for Spyro.

Mario -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9-l_jeYA44

Crash was a rival for Mario one the playstation side of things just as sonic was a rival for mario on the sega side of things. no one is using the crash IP, and it makes sense to have it if only for a "famous mascot battle"
