Paper Mario most definitely! Too bad the N64 did lack RPGs because that was the best time to be releasing them.

It`s a hard pick between Paper Mario and Ogre Battle. Both games are just so good... : ) So sad N64 didn`t get more RPG love...

The N64 was NOT the console for RPGs during that generation. That would be the PS1. Having said that, I'd go with Paper Mario.

I came here for the NSFW thing and got disappointed.



My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

yea the n64 was really lacking in this category. Quest 64 and Aidalyn chronicles were mediocre. Paper Mario and Ogre battle were quite good. I liked hybrid heaven at the time too. I remember waiting for Quest 64 to come out i was pretty excited, and it wasn't that bad i kinda enjoyed it at the time but now it would be terrible.

I think Quest 64 was kind of underrated for the time.

I seem to remember Shadow Madness being in development for N64 before moving to PS1, but i can't find any info online about it so maybe i'm imagining things. I was excited for that game but it was probably the worst RPG i've ever played.
