yea the n64 was really lacking in this category. Quest 64 and Aidalyn chronicles were mediocre. Paper Mario and Ogre battle were quite good. I liked hybrid heaven at the time too. I remember waiting for Quest 64 to come out i was pretty excited, and it wasn't that bad i kinda enjoyed it at the time but now it would be terrible.
I think Quest 64 was kind of underrated for the time.
I seem to remember Shadow Madness being in development for N64 before moving to PS1, but i can't find any info online about it so maybe i'm imagining things. I was excited for that game but it was probably the worst RPG i've ever played.
