Possibly, but I don't really think they will. Nintendo usually makes a separate console only for the Chinese market

China's government might love the wii u's games but that doesn't mean the people there will.

China is a heavy PC gaming centric. I dont think any console has the chance to sell well, moderate numbers maybe...

However, Nintendo did an amazing job in South Korea, instead of abandoning the market as sony and MS did. Maybe they will apply the same for the future. Now that iQue is wholly owned by Nintendo maybe they will try the same approach.

I doubt either of the big three will do well there.

it would be hard due to piracy. not sure about Nintendo's plan on lower console version. like Wii Mini in the US. but it won't have the latest game versions? we might need to get further details on this, if Nintendo really wanted to push for China. they need further resources like translating games, and even developing games for that specific console. NX could help on this as well.

about NOK, it is true, gaming in Korea is mostly Starcraft and other online games (PC). Nintendo can bring in a different style of gaming to Korea. they need to plan it properly and have a translated version of the common IPs as well.

about MS and Sony, if they wanted to push PS4 and X1 in china, it would be hard to sell these consoles on the market due to price and China's strict regulations. normally people who are in China, South East Asian countries, and South Asia would buy a console maybe in its middle or end-of-cycle due to the price would drop further. there would still gamers who would buy 1st day but it won't be that much.
