Forums - Gaming - What JRPG should I start next?

Which JRPG...?

Star Ocean: The Last Hope 5 2.19%

FF 13: Lightning Returns 6 2.63%

Tales of Xillia 2 12 5.26%

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles 13 5.70%

Final Fantasy X/X2 Remaster 43 18.86%

Persona 3 35 15.35%

Xenoblade Chronicles 94 41.23%

FF Type Zero 10 4.39%

The Last Story 3 1.32%

Other 7 3.07%

Total:228

The only correct answer here is Xenoblade. You knew that anyway from me though Slade

And yes, glad to see most others agree.

Why wouldn't they?

Characters, thats why!

In all seriousness I can see why some people would not like it. I couldn't help but love it though. Still in my top ten games

What's wrong with them?  :o

The awkward laughing scene was supposed to be awkward!

I haven't been a fan of Final Fantasy cast since X. In X case it was Wakka and Tidus more so than anyone else.

It's such a nothing game.

Explain?

It just starts, goes and ends, and nothing really happens once it's over.

Persona 3, Type-0 and FFX are the ones I would recommend. Personally, I loved P3 more than P4 mainly because of the story, atmosphere and difficulty. Type-0 is one of the best recent FF games.

Skip Star Ocean 3. Tales of has better gameplay, and the characters aren't terrible.

Xenoblade Chronicles is by far my favorite JRPG ever. It's just a wonderfull game that keeps getting better as you move forward. Everytime you thought the game could'nt get more interesting, BANG somthing happens that gets you jaw on the floor.

The game is launching tomorow on N3DS so I guess it's the perfect time to get into. Also I finished the game in around 60hours. There is a plethora of side quests that I ignored (still managed to do a fraction, wich is alot). If you want to do all sidequests (not even sure if possible lol) with alot of them only doable in new game+, then you can deffinetly play for houndreds of hours. But if you stick to the story and only do sidequests that gets in your way, around 60 or 70hours. 80tops.

Final Ultimate Legendary Earth Power Super Max Justice Future Miracle Dream Beautiful Galaxy Big Bang Little Bang Sunrise Starlight Infinite Fabulous Totally Final Wonderful Arrow...FIRE! - Wonder-Red (The Wonderful101)

Out of these, Xenoblade Chronicles. Hell, out of any game Xenoblade Chronicles. Not only the best jrpg last gen, but one of the greatest games ever created.

Trust the poll.

Just from personal experience. I couldn't get into Persona 3 at all after playing Persona 4 Golden. It was like a GIGANTIC leap backwards.

Xenoblade Chronicles

It's an amazing RPG with a unique combat system, outstanding music, likeable characters, an amazing story, and so much more.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I said Final Fantasy X in this thread. That was before buying Xenoblade Chronicles. Forget what I said, buy Xenoblade ;)
