With Nintendo you have to make almost everything up when discussing the future. Internaly they always keep secrets to the last minute. We knew about Bayonetta, SMT X Fire Emblem and Smash Bros long before release because external developers were involved. Hyrule Warriors was an exception. We can assume that Rare is doing something - that Animal Crossing in some form is coming - that Pokken Fighters may be ported - and that something will replace Zelda U for this christmas.

Wii U is a lost cause in Japan. If it was going to rebound there Mario Kart 8 and Smash would've done it. 

Animal Crossing didn't even sell that great on the Wii in Japan. 

They like Animal Crossing ... but on handhelds. Not on console. Same goes with things like Monster Hunter. 

Nintendo is just playing out the string on the Wii U in Japan, I think they know full well it's going to be their lowest selling console there.

It's big on consoles, but not nearly as big as it is on handhelds. The Animal Crossing EAD team is making Splatoon and Happy Home Designer. They are probably working on one or two other things as well, but could they really be making two full-fledged HD games simultaneously? Is EAD 2 that big? The only home console games they've released in over 5 years are Nintendo Land and Wii Sports Club, and it took them a mighty long time to complete the seemingly simple job of remastering the original Wii Sports games.

Those are the only ones announced, and SMTxFE and Zelda are TBD so far. Maybe in a month when Nintendo shared the release schedules we can confirm to be 2016.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

ermmm.... Lets wait and see what happens. It could easily become a great one but more likely it will be a transition year (think 2011) so probably not great but lets wait and see.

SMTxFE most probably will come out in 2016, with a very small chance of a 2015 release...

Same with Zelda U, but almost guaranteed not a 2015 release
