Forums - Nintendo - Fatal Frame 5 had better sell...

The best selling Fatal Frame in the west only sold 160k on the PS2. Don't get your expectations up.

This could beat it if Nintendo gets the hype up. Kind of the Monster Hunter factor, where Nintendo's push singlehandedly boosted the game's presence in the West.

Like how Monster Hunter tri matched Monster Hunter Freedom Unite's sales in the West.....

But yes, Nintendo could play a large role in the success of this title. Especially with upcoming release schedule, it has a real opportunity to succeed because there aren't a lot of horror titles anymore.

I stand corrected. I had just thought that the Monster Hunter titles started landing after the PSP had started to flame out in the West.

(plus i wouldn't have figured an offline MH would gain any traction out here).

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

They didn't even release the last PSP MH in the West. I believe it would have improved on Freedom Unite's sales as well. They did have adhoc party, which was a PS3 application that allowed you to play online through the application (it used your PS3 as a server that others could connect to).

I hope it gets taken out for the european release. >:)

I hope NIntendo puts even more before release!

I doubt that its sales numbers will be good, but I'll do my part to help.

Seems like a good match with the Gamepad, if the camera gameplay is still central. But the series never sold well on any platform, I don't think we should expect much.

I think 100k in America (USA 90k) would be good, anything else is just great and maybe too hard to do. Around 60k for Europe, maybe a little more.

I'm definitely going to buy this (my sister also REALLY wants it).
I just have to thank you for all the hardwork and dedication you put into letting Nintendo hear us. :)

It sold 60k in Japan.

You can expect another 70k from Europe and most likely triple that amount for NA. (160k) so that would put sales around where The Wonderful 101 currently sits at. (.32m I believe)

That would be GREAT numbers, but I am not as hopeful, people talk a lot, but when is time to take out their wallet and put the money where the mouth is a lot will not come forward to the challenge.
