No you gave speculation you dont know what Ninty is doing, it works both ways they can give us a traditional HH taht wont set the world on fire.

Look at last gen numbers and look at now numbers. There IS a decline if you want to deny it on a sales website then thats on you.

One generation of decline doesn't constitute a trend. Besides, the DS/Wii are obviously an anomoly when looking at all Nintendo consoles. There are going to be loads of failing consoles if you're going to compare them to the all mighty DS.

I gave 5 things that Nintendo can improve upon to boost sales. You dismissed them for no reason. Of course this is speculation, what on earth do you think you're doing when you're talking about the sales of a console that has yet to come out? -,-

And i dont think those 5 reasons are going to happen or they wont work, and I gave reasons why. You dont have to agree but at the very least you could give reasons why you think they will work instead of "they could do this" of course they could but you didnt say how they would arrive or be able to do that. I gave you a reason for each point i dismissed read them again.

DS vs 3ds numbers. Are you going to ignore that?

That's ONE decline from the best selling handheld ever. Now read my post again and prove there's an ONGOING decline = prove that the decline hasn't stoped already.

Its not even doing as good as GBA are you going to ignore that too? If the 3DS ends up doing as well as GBA did before its successor comes out then we can say there is no decline but i dont think anyone here truly believes that.

Now you are doing it on purpose. No one is denying a decline FROM DS TO 3DS. You, however, are speaking of an ONGOING decline from 3ds to an imaginary console.

Nobody is denying that 3DS showed a decline from GBA/DS, we are saying that's not proof of future decline

Previous decline=//=future decline

PS1-102 million, GBA-81 million

PS2-157 million, DS-154 million

PS3-90ish million, 3DS-70ish million

Does that mean Playstation consoles will continue to decline?

isnt this what this thread is about? the future of handhelds. If we take DS out of it its still a decline which you are still ignoring. If it was doing as good as GBA then we wouldnt be having this discussion. But i see no reason NOT to think that sales for the next portable will automatically rise. Best case it stays stagnant and sure we can go with the whole "but Ninty could make something cool that will have everyone wanting one" that didnt really work for hte 3ds or gamepad

I think PS consoles will decline but thats neither here nor there.  Thing is you dont have any proof that it will increase or stagnant as much as I have no proof that it will. Im just using numbers to come to the best conclusion and we see what the numbers are showing

There is no reason to believe sales will drop for the next handheld. the problem is that not only you believe, but is treating it as fact.

I know, that is why I said that the screen may only need to bend about 160 degrees but will still have a huge gap between the handheld top and bottom. But even if it can bend find into a clampshell effectively, it still will be expensive to produce..

Can you post a source for why you think it would be so expensive?

No link is needed since it's quite obvious... Not even being sold commericialy in phones because it is too expensive to manufacture. Plus, the avaliable screens can't fold very well anyways
