isnt this what this thread is about? the future of handhelds. If we take DS out of it its still a decline which you are still ignoring. If it was doing as good as GBA then we wouldnt be having this discussion. But i see no reason NOT to think that sales for the next portable will automatically rise. Best case it stays stagnant and sure we can go with the whole "but Ninty could make something cool that will have everyone wanting one" that didnt really work for hte 3ds or gamepad

There is no reason to believe sales will drop for the next handheld. the problem is that not only you believe, but is treating it as fact.
