Forums - Nintendo - Will Zelda U be a cross generation title?

?

Yes, it will be on both Wii U and NX 56 38.62%

No, it will only be on Wii U 80 55.17%

No, it will only be on NX 9 6.21%

When Twilight Princess came out in 2006, it was originally supposed to be just a gamecube game.

However, since the Wii was coming out the same year, Nintendo decided to release the game on both Gamecube and Wii

With Zelda U being delayed to 2016, and with lots of people thinking NX will launch in 2016, do you think Zelda U will pull a Twilight Princess and release on both Wii U and NX?

I think there is a good chance! What says you?

Doubt it... There are plenty of reasons to believe that the NX will be a handheld and this situation is a lot more similar to SS than TP... Yes it got delayed but so have plenty of other games and plenty of other Zeldas... Delays for the franchise is nothing new and not to mention that Zelda has never skipped a console/handheld

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I'm getting deja vu again . . .

What's better for Nintendo?

3 million LTD for this game versus say 6 million LTD?

Follow the money.

"lots of people thinking NX will launch in 2016" Get a good argument, and then will talk.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

I wouldn't bet against it.

I don't see NX being a home console so no.

Who says it's not launching in 2016? Did Nintendo say it won't launch in 2016. We know they are working on new hardware. We know it's now officially announced. We know we will hear more in 2016.

A 2016 is not off the table, anyone who's saying 2017 or 2018 doesn't know any more than the person saying 2016.

Doubt it.

Zelda will most likely be Wii U only.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

No.
Stop it.
