No Nintendo would lose to much credibility if they wouldn't support their own console with triple A support. A console without third party support needs big first party triple a games. Since splatoon nor X is one all hope is on Starfox and a possible metroid in 2015 and Zelda in 2016 on Wii U perhaps a port to nx.

THis is what I said: Zelda wii u AKA Zelda for wii u and NX (November 2016)

Retro isn't making a brand new next generation Metroid in 2 years. Unless another studio has been making it (which I hope), or Retro is making a really bad, rushed Metroid game (which I doubt), there's no way we're seeing Metroid on a console this year.

Unless Retro plans to troll everyone with Metroid Dread on Wii U using the Tropical Freeze engine. Which would go over about as well as Cranky Kong. (Even though I'd buy it)

I went to Retro Studios and their new building is really big, maybe they were working on DK and... another project :p

Why does everybody keep thinking the NX is going to be a handheld?

If anything, it will be this Fusion we keep hearing about. Handheld consoles are slowly fading and Nintendo can't support home consoles when they also have a handheld as well.. This generation is proof of that.

A handheld/console hybrid would be the best way to go for Nintendo. Even if they never get 3rd parties on board again (which I hope they do), all of their development teams working on one system would have a healthy release of games.

Anyways, I hope the new Zelda is a launch title for the next system. You are right, Zelda U is probably their most expensive game ever so why release it on a failing system? That makes no sense.

Exactly, I really don't care if the game is just for the wii u or for both, but Nintendo is a business so... it's not that unreal.

Except I don't expect it to be ported at release, at earliest a half year after release sounds about right.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

We'll see! I'm just being paranoid because they don't want to show the game at e3, not even a trailer?? odd.

Nintendo's famous for it's weird moves these days, so don't worry to much about that. In the worst case your scenario turns out to be true, but at the very least you can still play the game on the Wii U. On the other hand if Nintendo's support for the WII U ends end 2016, without a major 3d mario, metroid, f-zero or a new big triple A release which isn't Splatoon (which isn't something with the wow level of Pikmin or X), I am going to quit Nintendo for a while.

Oh god Zelda live-action series, I forgot about that. Be back in a second need to prematurely vomit in horror, it's going to be so bad... I can't see how it wouldn't be. If animal crossing is released on WiiU I'm sure it'll be summer 2016, summer release just feels right for that game.

that 's the real enigma and cause of my scare
