Prediction or fanfiction...

Zelda wii u AKA Zelda for wii u and NX (November 2016) Let's face it, this is the most expensive Nintendo game ever, they want to sell the damn game, i love my wii u, I love the games on the wii u and I'm a Nintendo fangirl... but 4 years for the wii u is enough, the console is business failure.

Zelda Netflix Series to promote the franchise "the article in question is not based on correct information" is not the same as "it's not happening"

Zelda 30th anniversary celebration.

we'll have Metroid, Animal Crossing or a new IP from Retro Studios this November.

In my mind, this sounds totally legit.

I still don't think that Zelda U will be released with the NX (which I'm guessing is a handheld anyways) because my guess for the next home console is 2017 earliest, which Zelda will probably be released before then.

Highly doubt it will be released for the NX since the NX will most likely be a handheld and an open world game like this on a tiny screen is just nonsense

And not to mention that Zelda has never skipped a console/handheld in the history of Nintendo and I doubt they will start now

I really don't think that Nintendo is going to release a typical handheld like the 3ds or the gameboy.

Honestly, everything is speculation right now, but I still think they will. Every handheld has sold really well or at least considerably well so I don't see why they would stop making a formal handheld..

Yeah, as the others mentioned, NX is most likely a portable, so moving Zelda to it wouldn't make sense.

It'd also be a bad idea for a Zelda game to skip the Wii U, considering that it would just signify a cut in Wii U support.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Nope.

Why does everybody keep thinking the NX is going to be a handheld?

If anything, it will be this Fusion we keep hearing about. Handheld consoles are slowly fading and Nintendo can't support home consoles when they also have a handheld as well.. This generation is proof of that.

A handheld/console hybrid would be the best way to go for Nintendo. Even if they never get 3rd parties on board again (which I hope they do), all of their development teams working on one system would have a healthy release of games.

Anyways, I hope the new Zelda is a launch title for the next system. You are right, Zelda U is probably their most expensive game ever so why release it on a failing system? That makes no sense.

1doesnotsimply

No Nintendo would lose to much credibility if they wouldn't support their own console with triple A support. A console without third party support needs big first party triple a games. Since splatoon nor X is one all hope is on Starfox and a possible metroid in 2015 and Zelda in 2016 on Wii U perhaps a port to nx.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Retro isn't making a brand new next generation Metroid in 2 years. Unless another studio has been making it (which I hope), or Retro is making a really bad, rushed Metroid game (which I doubt), there's no way we're seeing Metroid on a console this year.

Unless Retro plans to troll everyone with Metroid Dread on Wii U using the Tropical Freeze engine. Which would go over about as well as Cranky Kong. (Even though I'd buy it)
