Same, just an annoying way to justify showing a game said company wasn't ready to show.

In today's world, the quote ain't even true. A bad game can be patched.

Thats alot worse than delaying a game. I mean ALOT worse.

According to some Zelda fans, The Wind Waker, a rushed game, is the best Zelda. Why not to rush this one for another great experience? According to other Zelda group, Majora's Mask is the best, with only 1 year in development, and suddenly this one needs 5 years to be good.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

OoT 3D was made by Grezzo and supervised by an unrelated Nintendo EAD studio (the ones behind the first Galaxy).

The Zelda team had no hand in these remakes (besides Aunoma).

In which case lets ignore the remakes. There has been a consistant 2 Year dev cycle on each main Zelda game since Phantom Hourglass on the DS.

Twilight Princess - Winter 2006
Phantom Hourglass - Summer 2007
Spirit Tracks - Winter 2009
Skyward Sword - Winter 2011
Link Between Worlds - Winter 2013

Zelda U is the one skipping the ~2 Year trend, but that doesnt mean it will skip by the Summer of 2016 providing development goes smoothly.

Why? I mean, if a game is crippingly broken, sure, I agree.

Day one patches that do all the fine tuning, tweaking, fixing a bunch of bugs is fine though.

yeah but zelda wii u is not broken, they found new gameplay possibilities at the end of the development.

I like the quote.... though it may not justify a delay, it's still a good quote..
