Pokken Fighters.......that actually makes sense. Not sure if it will be ready in time though...Market the hell out of it and along with the pretty solid line-up of 2nd tier titles, I think WiiU is actually in reasonably good shape for the rest of the year.

Splatoon, Star Fox, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Fatal Frame, Rodea Sky Soldier, Yoshi's Woolie World, Mario Maker, Pokken Fighters, Devil's Third plus one or two unannounced projects.

Rather than hitching their holiday hopes on the fate a single game, Nintendo can by now pitch a pretty excellent montage and try to sell the idea that this is the year to get a WiiU.

EAD Tokyo are not only nintendo's most talented studio (on wii they were) but they are extremely efficient too. Like you said they developed SMG2 and SM3Dworld in just two years, that is very impressive.

Ya Nintendo definitely can't afford another situation like 3DS where it basically had Nintendogs+Ocarina of Time for the first 8 months, same with Wii U which was basically just New Super Mario & Lego City for the first 8 months. The next Nintendo device really needs to have a stacked first year lineup.

Um......Zelda and Star Fox would make six. Now that I think about it there are games from the Wii that should be downloadable as I said. I need to play Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 as I only played half of one.

Yeah, then we're pretty much on the same number of games, if I end up finding Starfox interesting enough.
I've also thought of it's backwards compatibility in order to play some games like Mario Galaxy and Skyward Sword.
So far only Galaxy 2 has been announced for digital download though. Not sure why they skipped the first one.


Star Fox SNES and 64 are my favorite Nintendo games ever. If Nintendo drops the ball with the Wii U game...they dropped it pretty hard in my book.

I loved Star Fox 64. One of my most fun videogaming memories is beating the first stage and boss without a picture on my TV. Just sound. lol (Something was wrong with the TV.) And I played that game a lot in vs mode against friends.
That said, that was 18 years ago... And I haven't really felt the craving for Star Fox since. So it might take a little extra to spark my interest in this game again. But I'm definitely keeping my eyes on it.

Though with just these games I'm still not convinced on dropping $300 on the console + a Pro Controller and possibly additional harddrive space and Wiimote for the backweards compatible games.
As it stands now I need some more games and/or a price drop/good bundle.

I've also started thinking about how many years I'll have to play MK8 and Smash Online, considering Nintendo shut down their online network for Wii in 2014, and may shut it down even earlier for WiiU.

I get you. I have friends who have the Wii U who dont have PS4 or Xbox One just yet. They are getting on the PS4 train though, so I would love to destroy them in Smash and Mario Kart. I will personally invest if Star Fox turns out well. I am also a big fan of Bayonetta. I am a huge Platinum Games fan. :)
