Forums - Nintendo - Zelda U delayed until 2016, will not be at E3

Man, this really sucks!
My most anticipated game delayed...

About the announcement, there really is something fishy going on.
When they showed Zelda in December i remember Miyamoto talking about how things were now different when he was commenting what was going on on screen.

Is it more content? Not a good reason to not show something at E3.
Is it the graphics? I'm pretty sure the graphics are set in stone by now.

What could have caused this delay and most importantly, not showing it at E3?
It's got to be something really big, otherwise it just wouldn't make sense to not even show a trailer.

A good theory would be that they are adding some new tech to improve the experience.
And new tech most likely means new console.... or consoles!
By delaying the Wii U version, they can release on both old and new gen consoles. Hoping that it does for the next gen, what TP did for Wii .

If we don't get the game on the first half of next year, you can bet there's a next gen version coming later that year.

This generation of gaming is really depressing.

I singled out Zelda, and for good reason; it was a HD open world game from a company that delays the majority of their first party titles.

And SSBU? You singled out that game 10x more than Zelda

I did, but I also singled out Xenoblade Chronicles X, which did indeed see a bump from 2014 to 2015. ;)

Damn disappointing. I'm used to droughts on the system, but this year may be the worst yet. Aside from Xenoblade, Nintendo's other games that interest me are going to be on the short side. Was looking forward to two big Wii U games to get stuck into.

Hope the delay is worth it, but it is starting to feel like last year again.

Around the Network

so what left for holiday?

I really hope this doesn't effect the open world structure of the game. Man I hated the changes made in TP and I sue hope that won't happen in this one

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

There are quite a few games that were delayed that I never predicted; Tropical Freeze, Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, Wii Fit U, Wii Party U, Captain Toad, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse...

CT was only in Pal and less than a month, Kirby i dont think ever was delayed in fact it was brought up faster. Still 7-8 nintendo games this gen out of 60-70 delayed isnt bad.

I wonder if it'll be delayed to early/mid-2016 or if they'll wait until Holiday 2016 to get more sales, that would be a very long wait :(
