It was supposed to be nearly finished December of 2013.

I dont get the hate. The game looks like lots of fun to me and i have trust in Itagaki from his previous work.

Looking forward to playing it and couldnt care less about the graphics. They looked good enough to me last E3. Since these days good graphics = getting your wallet gauged or getting a really short game, i am fine with the graphics beeing average.

Don't really care about graphics to be honest, the game looks fun as hell, hope it's out soon.

Hopefully the improved build won't be a letdown! Not that I care too much for graphics, but I'm still curious to see how the game looks now!

I'm not expecting a quantum leap in graphics for the new build, but perhaps it'll look like a late-gen PS3/360 game instead of one from 2007.
That said, even the E3 graphics wouldn't have stopped me buying it, I just need to know more about the gameplay side of things before I'm sold on it.

I have a feeling the E3 trailer was a very old build given how confident Itagaki is, it may even have been a deliberate ploy for him to stage a new superior build later on. Think of it, at E3 DT was not playable, all they had were these videos and nothing has been shown since, to get the level of improvement he is claiming in the time period since E3 the studio either worked 24/7 literally or the already was a superior build around that they were working on.
