I agree completely. I'm a huge pusher for off screen play as well. I only have one TV in my apartment with my wife, we decided to get rid of our other one in the bedroom, so it is an amazing device for me. When she watches a chick flick I'm not that interested in I grab the gamepad and start playing whatever. Plus with the external HD I picked up for iit and the DDP while it lasted, I got loads of downloaded games for very reasonible.



Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

LOL I forgot about that game. I don't have a Wii, remember? I'll just keep a mental note of it. So far I have light eight games from this gen that I want on the Wii U.

I'm disappointed Monster Hunter is no option in the poll. Also Hyrule Warriors is a lot of fun.

Besides the games the feature that really shines on WiiU is Miiverse. It helps forming a community and it adds a lotz of fun playing with your friends the same game and chat about it on Miiverse. Also the awesome art:

Forget the reviews, I'm loving Mario Party 10 and is currently become my favorite for the Wii U! I had a bunch of friends over on the weekend and it's a blast! Smash and MK are great party games with friends but it can get repetitive while MP offers variety of mini games.

I'm pretty social and like to have numerous get-together so my choices usually lean towards more of a couch-coop/party experience. But gaming solo, I really love Bayonetta 2 and one of the best games I've played last year. The story is over-the-top exciting with great gameplay controls and combos. I'd recommend playing this game with a Wii U pro controller over gamepad, it just feels more suited.

hyrule warriors would be my top choice, put in over 170 hrs, and still have PLENTY to accomplish.
2nd is a toss up between Mario 3d world, DK tropical freeze, smash, mario kart and bayonetta 1& 2

That was one of the first things I noticed... it's like everything is polished.

I can't put just one game on top, but Pikmin 3 was such an awesome experience to me.  I am so glad to have gotten that for free just because I bought Mario Kart 8.  

Mass Effect 3 is a very underrated port and actually supports online chat.  It's strange but I usually don't buy more than a few games for a console.  Everything on the Wii U is really fun and I've got about a dozen games right now with no end in sight.  The only problem is figuring out which one to play.

Well I did ask what your favorite game is, I could just count you saying it right now as a statement. Heh I don't even have a Wii U yet, I am buying it. Thats just another beloved franchise that I grew up with thats now on my list.

I would love to get a WiiU eventually and Tropical Freeze is the game I want to play the most.

The game was clearly not forgotten in this thread, I've seen quite a few people mention it.

Honestly, it's a strong contender for my favourite platformer of all time. It's not revolutionary, exactly, but it just does everything so damn right. Especially the way music ties into each of the levels.
