IP is just characters and worlds. Without the people who made the original games, most of the time, the games end up sucking. Unless Capcom is willing to bring back the original teams it's kind of a moot point imo. Nintendo sure couldn't develop games like Devil May Cry.

Nintendo could hire people to take on the games.  And they would obviously incorporate that talent that is still there.  And I bet Platinum could do great work with DMC and Nintendo has a good relationship with Platinum


But they won't have the same feel. New teams=new feel.

I'll always buy Nintendo systems anyway, but Nintendo owning Capcom would be a nice bonus. Particularly if they bring back properties like Breath of Fire.

Make a 100% Japanese console because I do NOT want western games at all (there is just the occasionally good western game IMO that does NOT put WOW-effect over gameplay and only those are good)

I'd be on board with this. I couldn't care less about EA, Activision, or Ubisoft's titles, and other than the occasional Fallout or Mortal Kombat I wouldn't miss Western developers at all.
