I am also a bit worried about the consistency of the site. Granted, many of you have been here far longer than I have, but I am certain the time periods like this are concerning.

This could indeed be a sign of the gradual demise of the site. Which would be a shame, but actually be not such a bad thing for my own time management.

ioi does now have Gamewise as a website he's developing, which means splitting time and energy between something old and something new. If Gamewise becomes popular then VGC could end up being thrown out all together. If the pro-subscriber base never got off the ground, or is dwindling because of lack of data reliability then it might not be worth maintaining this site through advertising revenue alone.

Perhaps the thread title should be changed to "Where are the Charts? Is this the beginning of the end of VGChartz?"

According to Gamewise about us section, that site gets more hits than vgchartz. However, up until today I never heard of Gamewise.

Probably.  I can't see why anyone would be paying for it. ioi should replace it with a vgchartz gold membership scheme.  We pay 20quid a year to get it and a few other cool features.

I got another theory. Since Trucks is working on fusing gamewise and VGC, he asked ioi to not update the charts since that would mess it all up.



Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.
