The price has dropped a lot very quickly it must be said.

Since I do love Financial events, it was really a given. If it stayed high, I would worry, because buying becoming that high you are creating a bubble. As long as it is significantly above the first day event it is still good. I think since the announcement it still up by 28-30%. I still think it will be settle around 20-25% mark. Which would be if I remember correctly around 17.50.

So, you will donate to the company?

I assume it is "I want to be owner of the company" or "I think they will be sucessful and give good dividend yields".

So... personal gain then

Anyone who buys stock for purely for I want to support the company (and I don't want dividends or be an owner), is wasting money potientially. You are better off buying products of said company.

First off; how many nerds on gaming forums buy stock anyway? I know there a couple, but still. Second; no one who is too dense to understand that a stock that grows this quickly will also come down quickly and likely settle at a point somewhere on the middle or even closer the the bottom of the scale have any business buying stock, or oranges or jeans or pretty much anything else; they should quite simply not be allowed to own a Visa card or handle money at all.

It was a mini bubble. People pumped it up too much and now most are backing out trying to get whatever gain they can get. These weren't long term investors but people in it for short term gain. Hell it was probably a computer program (high frequency trading) that caused the sell off to try and get any gain they got from the previous few days.

It's still not time to buy, what a terrible thing to say. Price will still drop to maybe 15-16.

I don't do short term investments really. Longterm all the way.

Wouldn't you hold onto them for Nintendo actually releases their products later this year?

I mean it feels like a given their going to make shit loads of money

This had to be said. People need to stop making a big deal every time stock falls or jumps.

It goes up a lot, it will come back down.. Nothing surprising here.
But if the long run will net in a great increase that is when you sell. That is how the stock market works

As long as Iwata is in charge, it is not a good idea to buy stock in Nintendo. Beware.
