Forums - Nintendo - Brawl makes my Wii "Rev up"

it quite simple, the disk spinning is a result of Solid Snake's inclusion in the game, snake contains more data than can fit in a single universe so the wii is required to spin the disk fast enough to create a rift in the space time continuum and access the data required for snake contained within

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

I have noticed at least two different Wiis having long pauses between say the stage select scene and the actual level. Longer than I have ever seen on the Wii before. They said the game is a dual-layer disc which is giving some Wiis with dirty lenses problems, so I think it is largely related to the laser. The game might be one of the more intense games when it comes to stress on the Wii.

The load times you mentioned are brought up in several reviews. Wii games usually have little to no noticable load times, this game isn't a sharp contrast, but seein any load times in in a Wii game is wierd. I bet it has to do with the layered disc, and not the dirtiness of the lense, as I've said, the loads are the same on my brothers brand new Wii, bought last week.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Your lens may be dirty :)

It's not, my brothers Wii is brand new his is the same. My Gamestore's Wii all sound the exact same when we loaded them up with Brawl this morning. I know your kidding around, but honestly, I do hope you realize that a dirty lens would cause Brawl not to work, but it wouldn't cause it to "spin faster."

Thanks for trolling my topic though.

That's trolling? Wow, you're grumpy.

No man, it wasn't exactly contributing to the conversation though. Yeah, that is pretty much trolling, unless that dude actually thought that. I can't see how anyone could think that a dirty lens would make a Wii disc spin faster. I find it more likely he was saying that because it seems like that's the damage control KoW has decided to assign his PS3 fanboys to counter how great Brawl is.

That's why I think it's trolling, but that's just my opinion.

Nice theory....but no. The real reason is due to Sonic's inclusion in the game. The Wii has the true, real version of Sonic, compared to Sonic's other visits, and now has to keep up with the sheer speed of Sonic...thus the weird sounds.

Explanation of sig:

I am a Pakistani.....my name is Dan....how hard is that? (Don't ask about the 101...apparantely there are more of me out there....)

So the the Wii has reached it's limit

For RPMs? Yes.

For graphics, who know?

For gameplay, well, the Wii reached its limit with SMG.

However, keep in mind, the PS3 has potential, while the Wii has been delivering since launch. The fact that the other systems aren't even close to their limit, speaks loads about the quality of the Nintendo development teams and console designers.

You can't play potential, my friend.

What does this have to do with Ps3? I mean, dont get so deffensive.

I didn't really notice that.. although SMG seems to get really loud so much so that I have to turn the volume on the TV up.

this game is put on a dualed layer disc

it must be a lot for the wii to handle!!
but [some] wii's can do it!!

mine only does that when it loads, but it doesnt bother me, it does that too with some other games

No it doesn't.  It speaks volumes about how little change actually went into the Wii over the cube and about how little actual progress was made.
