It's not an excuse it is a fact......

It was a question surely, the clue is the ? at the end.  A question I answered.

What is the fact you are referring to?

Mine was a statement, the period at the end , the clue is a .

I am not spelling it the obviosu to you, and are you always this rude to people?

Whats the fact?  Its a simple question.

(always rude to people, says the member that joined today.... curious)

I am asking based on your post to me , which was rude, are you always like this, not sure what's hard to understand.... It's a simple question.

This situation has zero to do with gt5 or others, the number of people playing MLB the show in europe would be miniscule. Each situation is different. Sony has done it too early before, this is  not one of those times.

After they shutt down the servers for GT5 this doesn't surprise me.. but still is a let down.. that their games have short lifes on the Online department...

Anyone knows if infamous 2 servers are down (it had a mission creation/sharing mode with trophies)? I have pending that Platinum to compelte some of these days...

How long after GT6 did they shut down the GT5 servers?

If I remember well.. Soon after GT6 release... http://www.vg247.com/2014/01/06/sony-to-shut-down-multiplayer-severs-for-grand-turismo-5-resistance-series/

Its just forcing purchase of the new game.

^  There is your reason.  Way too early to do this and if EA did this with games like Fifa and Madden  people would be going rampant.

At least its just europe though where its weak anyways

I don't think they're doing this to make people buy a new game if this is just in the EU, more likely it's cause no ones playing the damn thing so it's not worth the costs to keep it running. VGchartz have all 3 platforms at 0.00 million sold, would they really do this just to force a couple of thousand people to buy the new game, assuming those couple of thousand people still play the game online or even at all.

They probably have a policy for shutting down network features for games in a region when they drop below a certain number of players aslong as it's not a game that's been released within the past 12 months.

Sony has been doing some shady stuff this gen, but it doesn't matter because sony will always be defended. No matter how unpopular it may be in a different region, the ones that do have the game should be able to play longer than 1 year.

Agreed, the better solution would be to just not bother releasing the game in that region in the first place. Not worth the hassle. Not entirely sure what other "shady stuff" they've been doing this gen though.

I doubt it.  THey did this with GT5 to GT6 as well.  Personally i find this very anti-consumer and when you do it right as a new game comes out it looks like an incentive to buy the next game.

If it wasn't for the GT5 fiasco then i would probably agree with you, but in this case i dont.  As i said, at least it is just Europe where it doesnt really sell well anyways.  If it was america it would be a much bigger deal.  But shutting a server down for a game that has only been out for like 12 months is just no regardless of how unpopular it was there.

This sounds just like the forced sell of driveclub. You want to play online, buy mlb 15, you want to play Driveclub, buy the full version that demo we promised is cancelled. This type of stuff would be unacceptable for anyone else.
